Mitt Romney is trying to win a primary election in Michigan. Isn’t he the same Republican who said the Detroit automakers should go bankrupt? What kind of campaign slogan is that? Whatever it is, it gets worse. Romney needs new political handlers to keep him from saying things like this:
Obama got hundreds of millions from labor bosses for his campaign, and so he’s paying them back in every way he knows how. One way, of course, was giving General Motors and Chrysler to the UAW.
Sour grapes? I don’t know. Hundreds of millions from labor bosses? I wish.
I’ve taken on union bosses before, and I’m happy to take them on again. I sure won’t give in to the UAW.
Seriously? Who’s he talking to? It’s not voters. It’s not the tens of thousands of union members. They’re very happy that Detroit’s automakers made it through a Republican inspired recession.
I should go to Michigan and follow Romney around for a day. Wherever he goes, I go. After his speech, I’ll remind voters who really saved the American auto industry.
