It’s no wonder the Republican Guard is so pissed off at John McCain. His politics are all over the map, and it’s not the right side.
The Iraq War will be an issue in the fall general election because poor John has nothing else to run on. We’ve been doing some research and planning on how to handle his positions when I win the Democratic nomination for President of the United States of America. I love to say that.
Anyway, McCain’s positions are like spaghetti. It’s all one lump but everything is all twisted together.
On one hand, McCain voted with most Republicans and Democrats to authorize the invasion of Iraq. On the other hand, he didn’t like how the President handled the war, and he positively hated Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Who didn’t?
If I had a third hand I could point to his vote for the surge and troop build up in Iraq as going against public grain. McCain’s a patriot, a critic of the hard liners, he’s a hawk and a critic of how the war was conducted.
Will the real John McCain please stand up? It’s difficult to throw dirt if the target keeps moving.
